| Mr. Dennis is admitted to practice before the trial and appellate courts of the State of Alaska, the United States District Court of Alaska, the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, the United States Claims Court and the United States Supreme Court. He is a member of the Alaska Bar Association and the American Bar Association. Mr. Dennis has lived in Alaska since 1957, when his parents purchased a remote logging camp in Southeast Alaska. After high school, he attended the University of Alaska at Fairbanks, and then transferred to California State University at Fresno where he completed his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration, graduating magna cum laude in 1973. In 1976, Mr. Dennis received his law degree from the University of North Dakota and was admitted to the Alaska Bar Association that same year. Since then he and his wife Mercy Dennis, have lived in Anchorage where they raised their family. |
Elliott T. Dennis, is a lifelong Alaskan who has practiced law from his Anchorage
office representing clients throughout the state, for more than 30 years. Over the
years he has prosecuted and defended a large variety of lawsuits related to
defective construction, product defects, personal injury, insurance disputes,
business and employment law disputes, real-estate law and family law issues. In that
process, he has always focused on finding the best solution to difficult problems
and then convincing others of the correctness of his views.
In addition to representing clients in lawsuits, Mr. Dennis provides sound legal
advice to help them avoid the cost and pitfalls of becoming embroiled in conflicts.
When avoiding conflict is not an option, Mr. Dennis tries to resolve conflicts through
negotiation or pre-litigation mediation because this generally saves clients from
costly and time consuming litigation. However, when avoiding litigation is not
possible, Mr. Dennis's knowledge and skill acquired through years of hard work in
the litigation arena is a powerful weapon which benefits his clients.
